Here are some questions we have been frequently asked.

Industrial laser cutting concentrates high amounts of energy into a small, well-defined spot. The resulting heat energy created by the laser vaporizes materials in this small-defined area and a gas, or mixture of gases, such as oxygen, CO2, nitrogen, and/or helium is used to blow the vaporized material out of the kerf (the width of a groove made by the laser beam). The beam's energy is applied directly where it is needed, minimizing the Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) surrounding the area being cut
Laser cutting produces square, clean, burr free edges. It is fast, quiet, and efficient and suits a wide variety of material types. Its thin cut creates very accurate results with minimal waste between parts. The energy is very concentrated, so there is minimal heat input to the surrounding material.

Sorry we do not process the following: Brass, copper, Acrylic, Perspex and Plastics, Rubber, MDF and timber, Fabrics, leather, Cement Sheet.
We stock a wide range of materials and unstocked materials are easily sourced from our large supplier network including mill direct. We are equally happy to process your own free issue material. All materials can be supplied with certification and full traceability, ensuring you get the best quality cut on the best quality material.
We always prefer DXF or DWG files for quoting and cutting. However we can create quotes and program parts from samples, sketches, dimensioned drawings and clear image files. These files types may incur drawing charges to get them into a usable format.
The material type, thickness, size of the part, intricacy of the part and the quantity ordered determines the pricing of each part. See our quote page for a free, no obligation quotation.
Depending on current workload and material availability, our typical turn-around time is usually within 3-5 working days.
Provided we have all the necessary information we generally provide a quote within 1 working day.
There is a minimum charge of $90.00 + GST for all laser cutting services. This charge covers the time and labour for programming parts and machines, material, material handling and cutting.
